Tax incentives for Innovation: Understanding the SR&ED Credit
March 11 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm ESTFree
There are many programs that the Canadian government has established to encourage innovation which can assist business owners as they navigate through the COVID-19 disruption.
One of the most significant is the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Investment Tax Credit Program — a program that encourages Canadian businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct R&D in the pursuit of scientific and technological advancements which may lead to new or improved products or processes.
MNP’s Nazanin Moosavian and Greg Visentin will help you understand what the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program is, what is eligible for the credit and how to navigate through the process of filing a claim.
During this discussion you will gain an understanding of:
- What the SR&ED credit is and how it can help your business
- What type of research and experimental development qualifies for the credit
- The steps involved in the claim process
