Digital Main Street – Future Proof Workshop #1

Digital Main Street’s Future Proof Program – Community Collaboration Projects will connect regional innovation centres, BIAs, Chambers of Commerce and other community-based organizations in a series of conversations that will reveal common issues facing small and medium main street businesses and focus on developing workable solutions.
By the end of October, we will fund up to $50,000 in regional projects for testing (November 2020 through February 2021). Results and reports will be due in March 2021.
This workshop is for community stakeholders including BIAs, Chambers of Commerce, Municipal Economic Development partners, individuals interested in projects to revitalize main streets in Halton region. Independent Mainstreet Business Owners, Haltech technology/innovation clients, Halton technology companies and digital marketing agencies.
Attendees of this workshop will get the opportunity to:
- Share key challenges, old and new, and identify problems that are facing small and medium-sized businesses in our community
- Have a voice in generating ideas for helping local main streets recover from COVID and thrive
- See examples of how innovative technology can make a difference for our community

COVID-19 forced businesses across Ontario to close their doors this spring and many are looking for new and creative ways to attract business. With Future Proof, Digital Main Street aims to expand their support and create lasting change for small businesses across Ontario through three initiatives called Transformation Teams, the Digital Main Street Lab and the Community Collaboration Project.
