BURLINGTON, ON – Haltech Regional Innovation Centre is proud to announce the graduation of 12 local women-led startups from the 4th cohort of the Beyond Boundaries program. This program was originally created under the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES); an initiative set forth and funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. With our fourth cohort graduating in late February, Beyond Boundaries continues to provide women entrepreneurs in Halton with an equitable boost by teaching four key areas of business development: scale, sales, finance, and technology.

The graduation ceremony was held virtually on February 28th, 2023, and it was an event to remember. Program participants had the opportunity to showcase their companies in front of a supportive audience of mentors EIRs, and fellow entrepreneurs. The graduation ceremony also provided a unique networking opportunity, where founders could connect and build relationships.

Beyond Boundaries is a five-week program that provides women entrepreneurs and women-led startups in Halton with the skills, knowledge, and tools they need to succeed in the world of business. The program is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and tailored to meet the specific needs of each participant. Beyond Boundaries leverages hands-on workshops and mentorship circles to advance women’s economic empowerment by guiding participants through four key areas of business development: scaling, sales, finance and technology.

“You are sharing VERY VALUABLE information for my company. Thank you!! Want to thank you for all of this information, Reema. I am a woman of many apps. The first thing I’ll be looking at is how I can streamline. – Renee

“I really appreciated this opportunity very much. The enthusiasm and helpfulness of the mentors was excellent. Very grateful for mentors flexibility to meet 1:1. The community was extremely valuable. The program helped me get more focused on my business. Thank you very much!” – Program Participant

The graduates of the 2023 Beyond Boundaries program have shown tremendous dedication and hard work over the last five weeks, and it has paid off. They’re equipped to grow their businesses, refine their pitches, and develop valuable relationships with like-minded entrepreneurs. Their success is a testament to the power of women entrepreneurship, and a clear indication that programs like Beyond Boundaries are crucial to creating a more equitable and diverse business landscape across Halton and beyond.

At Haltech, we believe in supporting women entrepreneurs and providing them with the resources they need to succeed. We are proud to have been a part of the journey of these 12 amazing women-led startups, and we can’t wait to see what they will achieve in the future. Congratulations to the 2023 Beyond Boundaries graduates, and we wish them all the best as they continue to grow and thrive.
